For over a decade, I’ve been chasing the raw edges of the map — hitchhiking across Pakistan, getting lost in the Albanian Alps, camping under the stars upon secret beaches in Baja.
Those wild years of peeking behind the curtain in some of the world’s most spectacular and far-flung locations have led to this moment: the birth of Elsewheria Adventures. This is travel stripped back to what truly matters – connection with the planet and with yourself, discovery, and a touch of the fantastical within some of the world’s last true adventure frontiers.
I’ve been working in the travel space for most of my life now, having led my very first tour to India waaaay back in 2009. I spent five years leading tours in Pakistan from 2015 onwards and have led groups in Iran and Indonesia, too.
I took off my tour leader hat a few years ago, but for some time, it has been calling to me. There is nothing quite like bringing a group of people together and showing them one of my favourite places.

Clients become friends, and friends become family, as evenings are spent around crackling fires, sharing stories, hopes, dreams, and games of cards. Some of my favorite memories from two decades on the road are late-night conversations with new amigos in situations like this.
So what are you waiting for? If you want a true adventure in 2026, and want us to handle all of the logistics – this is for you. But where are we heading, I hear you jubilantly ask? Well…
We’ve got three epic journeys ready to roll.
Small groups, wild places, and itineraries designed to connect you to nature and to yourself.
Baja, Mexico: Whale Encounters & Ocean Magic
When: February 7th – February 13th 2026
Have you ever actually seen a whale up close? Unless you have, nothing can prepare you for the emotions and joy that these interactions can bring. It sounds a bit silly, but the brain (or my brain at least) simply cannot comprehend how incredibly big and beautiful these majestic, otherworldly beings are until they are actually in front of you.
During this 7-day adventure in Baja, we’ll have five whale safaris in the water, interacting with the grey whales as they glide past the peninsula on their annual migration.
The whales actively seek human interaction, with mothers even nudging their calves towards our boat. It is a truly INSANE moment to have a whale breach just a foot away from you and lean in for a scratch – I appreciate that this sounds unbelievable, but it’s true. The whales seem to enjoy being stroked and pet, with some scientists surmising they are looking for assistance with itchy barnacles!

We’ll also be heading out on two full-day expeditions in the Sea of Cortez, a place Jacques Cousteau once called “the aquarium of the world” because of its sheer abundance of life. Out here, we’ll be searching for humpbacks, playful dolphins, curious sea lions, massive fin and blue whales, and on lucky days, even orcas and other rare visitors.
But the truth is, we don’t really know what the ocean will reveal, and that’s the true magic of it. Every trip is different, every day is unpredictable. That’s the way the sea works, and it’s what makes each encounter so thrilling! In the evenings, we’ll weave in live music, stretch sessions, card games, and stargazing. We spent several months last year in Baja and have found the PERFECT eco-cabins to host this adventure, so we’ll have comfortable and secluded accommodation throughout.
We know Baja incredibly well; Audy, my co-guide and partner, has over a decade of experience in the region and has family living in the area. Luckily for us, Audy’s Mexican Mom is a professional chef, and she’ll be joining us on this adventure to provide home-cooked delicious goodness.
Small groups, bilingual local guides, and every detail will be lovingly handled 🙂
Psst…. How about making it a double?
If one week of whales and wild coastlines isn’t enough, we’ve got a different itinerary lined up to roll straight on from the first. Baja Part Two is all about slow living and deeper marine connection: sailing alongside humpbacks, swimming with whale sharks and sea lions, gathering for cacao ceremonies and beach bonfires, and exploring Balandra Bay, often called the most beautiful beach in Mexico.
This itinerary is a chance to slow down, reconnect and revel in the healing power of the ocean amongst new friends.
If you want to do BOTH itineraries (and if you’re flying far, you totally should!), we can offer a 10% discount on your second trip 🙂 You will get sent this code after you book the first trip. You can also reach out to us for more info!
Pakistan: Karakoram Highways & Hidden Valleys
I’ve been visiting Pakistan since 2015, and it is one of my favourite countries in the whole world! Chances are you’ve already spotted it all over Instagram – the word’s been out for years now, and more and more people have started visiting.
Here’s the thing, though, friends; not all the secrets are out, not by a long shot…
Pakistan is logistically complicated (we’re talking 30-hour bus ride type of tough…), and if you’re short on time, it just doesn’t make sense as a DIY trip. You’ll probably only catch a handful of rushed views and end up visiting the same spots everyone else does.
And so, with the help of my good friend Samantha, who speaks fluent Urdu and lives in the Pakistani mountains with her husband Fareed, we have put together what we believe to be the greatest Pakistan itinerary of all time. It’s cheap too, way cheaper than anybody else running Pakistan tours right now – and that’s because, honestly, I’m not starting this tour company for the money. I’m doing it out of a genuine love of bringing people together.

This is an incredible itinerary that combines some of the deserved highlights of Hunza with some lesser known and rarely visited side quests. And we’re hitting it by motorbike – although never fear, we have a non-motorbike itinerary if that’s more your style.
This first itinerary, going in May and September, is two wheels between two – one motorbike per pair of guests – but you don’t have to be on the back of a motorbike (unless you want to!). We’ll be followed by our two support vehicles, which will be carrying all of our supplies and our on-hand mechanic.
When you want a break from your steel stallion, you can easily communicate through our helmet radios, and we will take in turns to switch out. This is by far the most flexible way to do this, and we drive every section twice (once on the way in, once on the way out), so everybody gets a chance to ride.
There is nothing like the thrill of riding along the perfect ribbon of silk that is the Karakoram Highway as it unfurls through the most stunning mountain scenery you have ever seen. We ride past luminescent glaciers and ancient fortresses that whisper stories of empires long gone, and as your resident history nerd, I’ll fill you in along the way.
We don’t ride every day, as there are two overnight hikes in the itinerary and some other stops along the way to stay with local families we know well.

In Pakistan, we’ll lean on my decade of experience in the country to visit areas few tourists ever get to explore — including a secret side-valley where we’ll spend two days trekking and staying with local families we’ve been visiting for years. I’ll be assisted on this expedition by my partner Audy and also by my very good friend Samantha, who lives in Pakistan.
May and September departures. Rest days for hikes, chai in mountain homes, and nights staring up at skies bristling with stars.
No bikes? No problem. We are also running an itinerary in September with the same wild scenery, but slower paced, deeper into the culture, and no engine between our legs.
If you’re looking for a true adventure, but don’t want to figure out all of the rather complicated logistics, this is for you and I’m stoked to greet you into the country with a hearty Ahoy!
But wait, we’re not done…
Albania: Journey into The Wild Balkans
Our Albanian Alps Adventure tour is unlike any other tour on the market. This is not just another hiking tour (there’s enough of those out there). Instead, this itinerary has been crafted to immerse you in all that northern Albania has to offer; connecting you with dramatic landscapes, fresh mountain cuisine and fierce hospitality… with a sprinkle of comfort along the way!
We will spend eight active days and seven magical nights together, diving deep into one of Europe’s best-kept secrets. Starting our journey in Shkodër, the gateway to the Alps, we will venture into the jagged peaks of the Balkans.
Our days will be spent kayaking across the fjord-like waters of Komani Lake, drifting through the Shala River’s turquoise gorge, and trudging over the legendary Valbona Pass. Prepare to swim in wild rivers, marvel at blue eye springs, share dinners in ancient stone homes, sleep in boutique lodges and rustic guesthouses, and soak in the calm away from the crowds. Our trip will end with a farm-to-table meal at a beautiful, local restaurant in the town of Fishte, where we can reflect on the adventures we’ve shared.

Our Albanian Alps Adventure will be led by our very own Dani & Harvey from The Broke Backpacker team, pictured above. These two have fallen in love with Albania over and over again, with the north capturing a special place in their hearts.
This itinerary was designed after we saw a huge gap for a group tour that offered something different. Not another hiking tour, not a budget-backpacker tour. Something that bridges the two, allowing for local, rustic experiences, but with an added level of comfort.
This journey is best experienced with others; sharing home-made meals, sipping raki and bonding over the day’s adventures. Join our Albania adventure and experience the magic for yourself.
Why Elsewheria?
Elsewheria isn’t for everyone — and that’s the point. We’re here for:
- Adventurers short on time who want the thrill of the unknown without wasting weeks tangled in logistics. We handle the planning so you can focus on the experiencing.
- Connection-seekers who want to travel with kindred spirits, swap stories around a fire, and maybe leave with lifelong friends.
- The open-minded who are curious about our optional evening activities: live music jams, card games, journaling prompts, or late-night conversations about the meaning of life, travel, or entrepreneurship.
These trips are as much about community as they are about the landscapes we move through. These are not whistle-stop tours or cookie-cutter itineraries, and we deeply know the destinations we are offering so you can be sure of a truly unique experience.
We’re launching with pricing that is way below average and these prices will definitely go up in the future, so if you’re keen to come next year is the best time.
And hey, if you’ve ever wanted to meet me or ask me anything – coming on one of these trips is a great way to make that happen.
The Invitation
If we’ve read this far, we know you’re the kind of humans we are building this for. Join us and together let’s head into the deserts of Baja, the high mountains of Pakistan, the secret valleys of Albania. Elsewheria Adventures is live. Places are limited. Come along for the journey!
