The reason I have picked this as the best Airbnb in Hebden Bridge is because it’s a truly classic period property, it has excellent transport links (the train station is 7 minutes walk) all the while being reasonably priced.

Right, so Todmorden is a former mill town located about 4.5 miles along the road from Hebden Bridge (5 minutes on a train or 8 in a car) and while it’s maybe not quite as pretty or trendy it is definitely a lot cooler, better serviced and a hella lot more affordable.
This Airbnb is situated within vomiting distance of the legendary Golden Lion venue and a short dash from the train station. It’s well-priced, freshly refurbished and situated slap bang above The Board Game Cafe. There are more elegant and extravagant Airbnbs in Todmorden (I will show you some later…) but this one wins for sheer practicality coupled with a bang for brass.
Geoff’s House | Best Budget Airbnb in Hebden Bridge
If you are on a budget then check out Geoff’s House. For some reason, Geoff’s gaff can be rented on a weekend for just $80 a night making it by far the best bargain Airbnb in Hebden Bridge. It’s a traditional, cosy Hebden Bridge “under dwelling” (the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else) so whilst it’s not the biggest space, it’s perfect for short breaks and weekend getaways.
It is well-located and in good condition following a full refurb a few years back. The stone fireplace is absolutely lovely, and the back garden offers some cracking views over the town.

While it might test the solo travellers budget (everything is cheaper when it’s split in two right) it’s perfect for those lone guns who want to make some friends. The interior is chic and tasteful with leather sofas, flatscreen TV screens, and a selection of board games (no Settlers of Catan though!).

Anyway, this delightful Hebden Bridge Airbnb is slap bang in the middle of the town and is so close to the Vocation taproom that you could probably request a pint of Life and Death from the bathroom!
It is compact but tastefully appointed with a comfy double bed (perfect for couples looking to explore one another if they have the energy left after exploring The Pennies – one of the most beautiful places in the UK) and a proper modern functional kitchen.

The Wendy House
The hamlet of Heptonstall perches on a hilltop overlooking Hebden Bridge and can be reached by either a 20-minute uphill trek or a 5-minute car ride. The tiny village looks and feels like it was frozen in time with its cobbled streets, cottages and stunning, ruined church.
Heptonstall was the stronghold of the infamous Cragg Vale Coiners, and their ringleader David Hartley (once the most wanted man in the entire British Empire) is buried in the churchyard along with the American Poet Sylvia Plath.
Anyway, there are not all that many Airbnbs in Heptonstall so be sure to book ahead to bag this charming and functional bungalow property. The gorgeous Hardcastle Crags is also a short distance so it’s perfect for anybody fancying a few days hiking and exploring the rugged Pennine landscape.
Old Chapel Schoolhouse
This lovingly restored former schoolhouse is a holiday cottage that just packs in the character and charm. Each of the bedrooms has retained original, period features such as the stone fireplaces, and the cottage offers some stunning views over the valley.
Despite being a short walk from Todmorden town centre, the cottage is truly peaceful making it ideal for a little getaway. Furthermore, the cottage is very reasonably priced and I was able to book it for $100 a night – that’s $25 per guest if you travel as quadruple. The River Suite With Sauna
This truly gorgeous and magical riverside studio apartment is located at the mouth of the wonderful Hardcastle Crags, a 15-minute walk from Hebden Bridge. It is connected to the “main house” but has private access, en-suite facilities and a self-contained kitchenette meaning you essentially have total privacy.
The studio also has access to the stunning veranda which overlooks the forest. There is even a hot tub and sauna. The studio is also tastefully decorated in boho style. This Hebden Bridge Airbnb could almost be a self-contained wellness centre if only it had an ice bath or flotation tank!
