Washington is an absolute gem on the U.S Western Coast that draws over 40 million tourists each year.

As well as being home to the famous metropolis that is Seattle, the rest of Washington is teaming with natural beauty, national parks and picturesque sites, perfect for those who love the outdoors and adventure holidays.

From hiking through Mount Rainier National Park to exploring the length of the West Coast shoreline, you can be sure that Washington offers plenty of mesmerising spots that are just begging to be discovered!

Now, you can stay in a hostel or perhaps even book a regular old hotel room, but with all that nature to be discovered, staying in a dingy dorm room doesn’t sound appealing.

The absolute best way to properly experience everything the state has to offer is by booking a treehouse in Washington. These enchanting abodes were made for those who want to be in touch with nature and escaping city life.

Given the sheer number of treehouses dotted all over Washington, I know that it can be hard to find a good one. No matter, because that’s where I come in. I’ve put together this guide to the best treehouses in Washington State so you can be sure to find the best one for your budget, location, and preferences.

Staying in a Treehouse Airbnb in Washington

Staying in a Treehouse Airbnb in Washington

Treehouses have no doubt soared in popularity over the past few years, which means that you’ll certainly be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding on one for your next Washington trip! And in the state of Washington, there are plenty of options to choose from, especially on websites such as Airbnb.

One of my favorite things about treehouses in Washington is that they provide easy access to places that would have been harder to explore from traditional accommodation options like hotels, with the wilderness literally on your doorstep.

Since these properties don’t usually have any hidden or extra charges, they’re also easy on the wallet too, which means that you’ll be able to spend more money on all the things you want to do in Washington!

What to Look For in a Treehouse Airbnb in Washington

There’s no denying that your budget will ultimately decide what type of treehouse Airbnb in Washington you’re going to get. The good news is that there are several budget-friendly properties where you won’t even need to sacrifice classic home comforts.

Now, do remember that these are treehouses, after all, not luxury condos, so some of them are deliberately designed to provide a rustic experience. That means things like fast WiFi, TVs and fully equipped kitchens are not common amenities – if you’re looking for a full vacation rental home, you might be better off looking at cabins in Washignton.

However, if you are prepared to give up some homely comforts (and only some, you’ll still have access to hot water) you’ll find treehouses are very comfortable. If you’ve got some extra money to spare, you can always opt for a deluxe treehouse with hot tubs, fire pits, or even indoor fireplaces.

If you’re on a West Coast road trip, the good news is parking is also often provided, but you should check whether the road is accessible with a standard vehicle – as often treehouses are in remote locations, a 4×4 vehicle might be needed to access it.

Parents travelling with children may also wish to check whether the little ones are allowed on the premises since some properties don’t allow kids for safety reasons.
