Another great thing about Punta el Cortecito is its proximity to the jungle. A short drive away are places like Monkeyland and Los Haitises National Park. Monkeyland is a squirrel monkey sanctuary where you can safely and responsibly interact with wild monkeys while simultaneously learning and helping raise awareness for them.
