Right, we’re now on to the best of the rest. Kicking things off is this rad open-plan apartment that can sleep up to six guests. You have access to two double beds and two single beds, so you have options for sleeping arrangements.
The apartment is conveniently located in the city, within walking distance of local public transport links. The unit also comes with a free parking space in the basement garage, which is ideal if you plan on hiring a car during your stay.
You’ll also have a great, south-facing balcony with views of Mount Moiwa while drinking your morning coffee or evening beer. The apartment is also on the 9th floor, so you’ll be nicely elevated for taking full advantage of the views. For the warm summers, you’ll have air conditioning to keep cool, and in the cold winter months, there are two gas heaters to warm you up.

Next up is the Glass Shiseikanshogakko, a serviced apartment in the Chuo Ward in Sapporo. Personally, Japanese cuisine is some of the best in the world, so I’d be out and about sampling all the goods. There is also a washer and dryer available for those on-the-go laundry needs. Something that I always look for when I’m travelling is a convenient location, and this Airbnb in Sapporo has just that. There are plenty of local restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance, as well as the local Higashihonganji-mae streetcar station and the Susukino subway. Talk about convenience!
It’s clean and compact with sleeping space for up to three guests, with both a double and a single bed. There’s an elevator in the building, too, so you can easily commute up and down without expending too much energy. If you’re big on getting your step count up, then just walk everywhere around the city. You’ll clock them up in no time! You’ll also have laundry facilities, an equipped kitchen, TV, AC, and even a free parking bay for your use.
5-minute walk from Susukino
One of my favourite things about a lot of the rentals in Sapporo is the ability to self-check in. It means that you can arrive when you’re ready without having to give an arrival time. Here, you have a great little apartment that’s ideal for a couple or even a single, complete with a queen-size bed, a small kitchen, and a bathroom.
The location is also second-to-none in the city, within walking distance of Susukino, Sapporo’s entertainment district. There are also two convenience stores within a 1-minute walk of the apartment, which, again, yells convenience. But there’s more! Both the Susukino Station and the Hosui Susukino Subway can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes. Sold yet?
Zen Sapporo Apartment
One of my favourite things about this studio apartment is the real Zen vibe I get from it. It really gives off a relaxing atmosphere that I can see myself truly relaxing in. Something we often forget to do in our everyday lives. The apartment has two semi-double-sized beds inside and can sleep a maximum of 4 guests. It’s pretty ideal for a couple of mates travelling through Sapporo or even a young family.
Overall, it’s the perfect base for exploring the city and surroundings, with all the amenities you’ll need for a comfortable stay. Clean bathroom and mini kitchen – check. TV – check. Laundry facilities – check. What more do you really need? It’s also affordable and conveniently located near the airport and local rail and subway links. Winne, winner, chicken dinner?

You know that saying that goes something along the lines of dynamite coming in small packages? Well, I feel that the next Airbnb in Sapporo really epitomises this. The open-plan studio really has it all, from a comfortable double bed to a full bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. There are also floor mattresses if additional sleeping space is required, although it will be a little tight. Having said this, it’s a great compact little home-away-from-home.
What about the location? Well, it’s located in the heart of the city, so you’ll be within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and transport links. Linen, towels, beauty products, and laundry detergents are also all provided, so you really just need to show up with your bags – it’s that simple.
Shogun Apartment
Ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a Japanese Samurai residence? Well, wonder no more. This epic rental in Sapporo has been professionally designed to replicate a samurai residence from Japan’s Sengoku period. How cool? It’s super unique and really transports you back in time, while still maintaining a modern feel.
Susukino and Odori are both within walking distance of the unit, and the local Nakajima Koen Station is a mere 2-minute walk. There is even a 7-Eleven at the bottom of the building, so you’re never going to have to be inconvenienced. What’s more is that two of the local ski resorts, Sapporo Kokusai and Taini, are less than an hour away.

Now, the next spot is a bit of a treat, in my humble opinion. Everything so far has been largely apartments and studios, but the next Airbnb in Sapporo is a traditional style Japanese home, with way more space! The home has been finished to a traditional feel, but still has all the comfortable modern amenities. It can also sleep up to eight guests, so there’s plenty of room for the whole family or you and your friend group.
Not only is the location great within Sapporo, but you’ll also be close to ski resorts, Otaru, and other popular sights in Hokkaido. There’s fast Wi-Fi, and you’ll also have free parking for up to two cars. But my favourite part is that you can arrange a traditional Japanese tea ceremony complete with a Kimono to really get in touch with the country’s cultural side.
Spend Quality Time in Japan at The Eight
Now, who would’ve thought that I’d leave one of the best places until right at the end? Well, I had to keep your attention somehow. This apartment has been finished with a modern Japanese style, complete with high-end Karimoku furniture. Everything about it just yells luxury, from the beauty and home appliances to the traditional Japanese cooking utensils.
Location-wise, you’re about a 5-minute walk to the nearest subway station that connects you to the rest of the city. Local restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores are also all super close by for ingredients or other essentials. While there’s a fully equipped kitchen inside, I always recommend getting involved in the local cuisine – you won’t regret it!
