This hostel is a personal favourite of mine and is one I always return back to when heading to Phi Phi. With direct beach access, comfy dorm beds, and daily cleaning, you won’t feel like you’re bringing half the beach back into your room.

The amenities here are super modern and clean, which is actually a rarity compared to other hostels on the island. The dorm beds have those all-important curtains so you feel like you actually have a bit of privacy after a long day (or night) and the en-suite bathrooms are cleaned and stocked with all the essentials, a rare find in Thai hostels.

It’s a five-minute walk from all the insane nightlife the island has to offer so you’ll never feel like you’re too far away from the party. The main reason why I love this hostel so much is because it’s one of the only hostels far enough from the noise of the party that offers a good night’s sleep. You don’t have far to stagger home from the beach bars and you can nurse your bucket-induced hangover in the morning in peace and quiet.

4. Ibiza House Pool Party – Best Party Hostel in Koh Phi Phi

When I think of a party in Phi Phi, the first thing that comes to mind is the legendary pool parties thrown at Ibiza Pool Party. Iconic enough to pay the hostel a visit in itself, these bad boys are thrown three times a week. These parties carry on until the early hours of the morning but if you want to carry on until the sun comes up, all of the best beach clubs in Phi Phi are literally on the doorstep.

Just a fair warning, I’m not responsible for what happens to you if you end up drunk enough to go in the pool itself because let’s just say that the water at the end of the night is… questionable.

The vibes at this hostel are wild in true Phi Phi fashion. In true Phi Phi spirit, you won’t be hard done by to find backpackers who have been on a 3+ day bender here. I love me a good beach party as much as the next traveller, but even I have to admit, surviving a full week here is a feat for the hardcore.

Party aside, the amenities that Ibiza House Pool Party have are pretty decent too. They offer several different dorm types, with beds ranging from four to ten, with some even having sea views. All rooms have air-conditioning with hot showers and lockers for your valuables. When you finally drag yourself out of bed and need something to quell the hangover, you can grab a bite at their Seaview restaurant or head over to the pool bar or beach bar for a little hair of the dog.

5. Dormsin – Best Hostel for Digital Nomads in Koh Phi Phi

Dormsin is a CLASSIC Thai backpackers hostel. Warm and cosy, with a real sense of community. They pride themselves on having “the smartest, comfiest, most kitted out pods on the island.” I have to say, I agree. The comfy pod-style beds, all come with a light, power outlet, and locker, and the all-important curtains on beds for privacy that are so needed in an 18-bed mixed dorm.

The room is huge and it doesn’t feel like you’re living on top of each other like other hostels. Just bring a pair of good earplugs and you’ll be grand here!

What sets this hostel apart is the variety of communal spaces that are scattered throughout the property, making it perfect for digital nomads looking to crack on with a couple of hours of work. There’s even a cosy seating area in the dorm rooms themselves if you want to stay in the recluse of the air-conditioning. And let’s be honest, I don’t blame ya.

You’ll also find a book exchange, free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, luggage storage, board games, and a TV. It’s the friendly vibe and the welcoming hosts that really make this place so special, though; it’s a solid choice for those wanting to have a base on this stunning Thai island for a while.

Listen up party animals! A pumping Phi Phi pad, Blanco Central Hostel is one of my faves when it comes to a wicked party hostel in Phi Phi. Hit up the bar, open every evening, for cheap beers and buckets and thumping live music to really get you in the mood.

This place, along with its sister hostel Blanco Beach, is known on the island for its legendary boat parties. They are the ultimate way to see the islands, boogie on a boat and have a bit too much fun… It’s probably the best thing you can do as a solo traveller. It’s, hands down, the easiest way to make friends backpacking Thailand!

Step outside and you’ll find many cool bars for even more fun, and the coolest beach bars are less than a five-minute walk away. Whether you’re hitting Ton Sai Beach, exploring local shops, or diving into the nightlife, everything is just a stone’s throw away. Round-the-clock security adds to your peace of mind when it’s time to finally hit the sack and get some shuteye ready for the next round of revelry.

7. Voyagers Hostel

Voyagers Hostel is a gem of a find in a killer location. Just a ten-minute stroll from the main pier, it’s close to the Tsunami Shelter, Ton Sai Beach and all of the nightlife action, yet far enough back for some solid shut-eye. The on-site café is perfect for a quick bite, and the outdoor seating is great for chilling with new friends.

The staff here are absolute legends. They’re always handing out free water, snacks, and coffee, and they clean the rooms meticulously multiple times a day. They even replace sheets and towels and fold your clothes if you leave them out. The vibe here is super social, and you’ll feel safe with access cards for hostel entry at night.

8. Hangover Hostel

Hangover Hostel is one of the most popular hostels in Koh Phi Phi. A stay here may not come cheaply, but you can join lots of other happy travellers and enjoy a fab stay in a top location with great standards of comfort. You can only slum it for so long!

The sociable vibe reigns supreme at this top hostel in Phi Phi, and you’ll meet tons of new buds in the lively common areas. Hit up Ton Sai beach anytime you want—it’s just a couple of minutes away by foot—and sleep well in clean, secure, and peaceful dorms. Each bed has a locker, light, and power outlet, and handy bonuses include a tour desk, laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi, currency exchange, and tea and coffee-making facilities.

9. Sweed Dee

Sweed Dee is another one of those hostels that hits the balance right between being close to the party but far away enough to be able to nurse your hangover in peace. You’ll find everything you need here: cosy beds, spotless bathrooms, and a warm, welcoming vibe – all in a prime location.

The staff are amazing and helpful, which makes you feel so welcome as a solo traveller. The dorms are squeaky clean, with lockers that actually fit your stuff. It’s a bit off the main strip, so you get some peace and quiet, but it’s just a quick five-minute stroll to dive back into the madness.

10. @The Pier 519

Located right next to the main pier, this hostel is perfect if you’re island hopping or don’t want far to trek with your bags through this infamously car-free island. Of course, Phi Phi is so small that even near the pear you’ll be within walking distance of all the best that the island has to offer.

@The Pier 519 boasts pod-style bunk beds with privacy curtains, private lockers, and newly fitted shared toilets and showers scattered throughout the building. The facilities are kept impeccably clean, with thorough daily cleanings—because who wants to come back from the beach to find their hostel feels like a mini sandpit?

11. Film House

Grab a bucket, hit the dance floor, and boogie ‘til sunrise with your crew. Or if you’re after something a bit more wholesome, the reception can hook you up with island tours, snorkel adventures, and insider tips on where to chow down.

Film House is a bit of a hidden gem, perfect for when you need to dial down the party vibe and actually relax. Trust me, even the most seasoned party animal needs a breather now and then.

12. Slumber Party Phi Phi

Slumber Party Phi Phi is a great backpacker’s base if you want to unwind and chill away from the partying crowds. Don’t get me wrong—it’s just a short walk to the action, but you can come back and rest well rather than trying to nod off with pumping music all around you.

One big draw is that it’s one of the only hostels on the island with a pool! The rooms are refreshingly cool and the beds are comfy. Chillax in the garden, on the terrace, in the pool… the world really is your oyster here. Recently renovated, Slumber Party has made a good name for itself in the Thailand hostel scene so you can’t go wrong by checking it out!

13. Coma Hostel

A chilled-out recommended hostel in Koh Phi Phi, Coma Hostel can be uber romantic in the right company. With some of the lowest prices on private rooms, pod-style dorms, a calm atmosphere, a great location, and a welcoming vibe, this hostel really is a gem. There are mixed dorms and family rooms too, attracting a mixture of travellers if you want to socialise. Catch some rays on the terrace and surf the free and fast Wi-Fi.

14. Stones Bar Dorm Rooms and Restaurant

A lively backpackers hostel, Stones Bar Dorm Rooms and Restaurant is close to the best Phi Phi beach and parties. Chill on the sandy shores and swim in the sea during the daytime, watch the nightly fire show, grab a bite to eat in the onsite restaurant, sink some drinks in the bar, catch some zzzs in comfy dorms, rinse, and repeat! Each room is accessed by a key card and all beds have a personal light and power socket. Spend the nights partying with new pals and have a blast in Phi Phi.

15. Ploy Dorm Room

Ploy Dorm Room has mixed dorms for eight and ten, each with its own bathroom. Beds have privacy curtains as well as a power outlet and a reading light. Dorms have large lockers and A/C, and most also have small seating areas. You can arrange onward transportation and a range of tours. The recommended hostel in Phi Phi offers free Wi-Fi and it has round-the-clock security to keep a watchful eye.
