While it’s not THE cheapest hostel, the breakfast is complimentary and the rooms are lush, and I think it’s the best bet.
In a great location, within walking distance of the city’s top attractions, Sun Hostel is epic for us broke backpackers who like walking around. Walking is a great way to keep on top of your fitness while travelling and it’s the perfect mode of transport in Marrakech. There is such a cacophony of sights, sounds and smells that you don’t want to travel much faster than walking pace to soak it all in.

At Sun Hostel you really feel welcomed and cared for, which is priceless when you’re on the road. Especially so if you’re a female solo traveller in a country like Morocco. There are a few different private room options and a couple of dorm options too, both mixed and sleeping between four and eight. The bathrooms are a bit hit or miss, but what can you expect – it’s the best cheap hostel in Marrakech, not the Ritz!
