With so many choices, picking a top 5 was difficult. I’ve scoured all the top hostels in Barcelona and separated them to meet your personal travel needs. There’s a little something for everybody. From wild parties to paella with new friends, this list has it all!

They also have some amazing private rooms if that’s more your vibe. The hostel organises daily walking tours both during the day and at night, meaning whatever time you want to explore the city, you can do so alongside someone else, if that’s your thing. Onefam Sants is in the laid-back and more local area of Sants. It’s close to the Estació de Sants (Sants Train Station) and the metro station. This area is quieter than areas like the Gothic Quarter, but is still within walking distance of Plaça España and Montjuïc and has a more relaxed atmosphere.

Though Barcelona can be expensive, budget hostels with a social atmosphere aren’t that hard to find. Fabrizzio’s Terrace definitely stands out with the incredible value you’re getting for such a low price.

It isn’t just the central location (walking distance of La Sagrada Familia and other Gaudí classics) that makes this an awesome hostel in Barcelona city’s centre. If you’re a budget traveller who doesn’t want to cut back on all luxuries, this is the right hostel for you. Just because it’s cheap accommodation doesn’t mean the experience is any less incredible.

Why you’ll love this hostel:

• Calm, Homey Vibes: This is a proper “family hostel”. Think relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and a place that actually feels like a home base rather than somewhere just to crash.
• Beautiful sun terrace: The spacious rooftop terrace is the heart of the hostel. It’s perfect for chats over breakfasts, lazy afternoons, or just unwinding after a day exploring the city.
