Grey Lynn is an inner-city suburb with an arty vibe. There aren’t so many attractions here, but you’ll find a good choice of cafes and restaurants. It’s still a bit rough around the edges, but it has seen many developments over recent years, which have made it more of a desirable area for both visitors and residents.
Prices are still fairly low, however, and it’s one of the cheapest Auckland neighborhoods to stay in. Just a couple of kilometres from the heart of the city, it’s easy to explore by public transport.
