This gorgeous property is located in Isla Grande. It is often described as more of a resort and less of a hostel when it comes to amenities, location, and appearance, but with a budget-friendly price – what could be better?

With both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, you will never run out of space to relax and mingle. The activities organized by the management, such as yoga and salsa lessons, are perfect for meeting new people and making friends.

Although breakfast is not free, the on-site restaurant serves delicious food at reasonable prices, and the bar is always ready to serve cocktails and drinks – be it a hair of the dog situation, or a sunset sip. Budget travelers will have the best of everything!

Carlos, the host, is an absolute gem. He genuinely cares about the island and goes out of his way to make your stay special. Whether he’s cooking up a tasty meal, organizing snorkeling and mangrove trips, or just sharing local tips about the area, you’ll feel like you’re staying with a friend. María, the housekeeper, keeps things clean and tidy, and their dog Mango often tags along, too – so, so adorable <3

Keep in mind, that it’s a good idea to learn some of the local language, Spanish (or travel with someone who does), bring cash for those beachside drinks, and pack a power bank for charging your devices. The vibe is social but not “party-centric”. It’s perfect for those traveling with a buddy or partner, as most guests arrive here in pairs.

The rooms are simple yet comfortable, they come with mosquito nets that actually do their job (thank god!). There is a restaurant nearby that serves fantastic food, and the snorkeling tours are epic – there’s an option to go diving too, if you’re up for it!
