The style is not the only thing that will have you falling in love with this hostel. The garden, cafe, and shared kitchen will have you feeling right at home in the heart of the city. Set in a great location, within walking distance (a 15-minute walk) to Juliette’s house in the city centre, this Verona hostel is a dream to stay in. Then, fuelled up, make your way from this central location out to see the sights like the Verona Cathedral and the Piazza delle Erbe.

There are female-only dorms and mixed dorms, spread over four floors each with an ensuite. This is a great option for a solo traveller, in my opinion. You’ll have your freedom to explore Verona but you’ll have the intimate knowledge of this city on hand if you want it.

Nadia’s apartment has a kitchen you can use too (for an extra cost). She also has all the hot tips on where to find good food or activities for your time in Verona. Romance yourself in this sweet apartment and enjoy being within walking distance of all the hot spots.

You’ll have your own bathroom and bedroom if you choose to stay here. Naida is respectful of your space but happy to help if you ask. This is a great option if you’re happy flying solo.

And, this Verona hostel will also give you a unique experience which will have you reminiscing about Verona for the rest of your life!

With the garden, onsite restaurant, and bar, you will never have to worry about finding a place to grab a bite to eat or drink. What really will sell you on Verona StraVagante Hostel is the fact that you will be staying right smack in the middle of Verona. Perfect to take a short walk to whatever corners of this ancient city you want to see.

Another thing to love is the central location of this Verona hostel. There isn’t any free private parking, but you’re just a short walk from Castelvecchio Museum and the Verona Arena! The city centre is full of things to do and see for free. I could spend a whole day at the Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore, soaking up the history and watching the people pass by.

At Verona Stravagante Hostel, there are rooms from twin or double setups right up to rooms with beds for four. The air conditioning cranks, the rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly.

4. Gabanel Bike Hostel – Best Party Hostel in Verona

Ok sooooo, this is a stretch for a party hostel, but it would be a great place to have a party with your homies! And, it’s got a bar and a pool. Built in an old Villa on the hill that passes through the Morenic Hills, this place is stunning.

There’s a big lounge and a kitchen that you can get cookin’ in – which I highly recommend, you’re a bit out of town here. You can enjoy your dinner party (see what I did there?) at the dining table indoors or eat al fresco on the outdoor terrace. The garden is lined with trees so your party will be private even though the road is close by.

Why you’ll love this hostel:

• Lots of room for activities
• Laundry facilities

There aren’t many hostels around, as I’ve already said, but when you compare prices, this guy comes in pretty cheap. The top floor of the villa is set up with a private room that sleeps up to four people with an ensuite. I’m loath to say it under this party hostel title, but this is a great option for families.

There is a dorm room on the ground floor which can sleep up to six people. There’s free breakfast included when you stay at Gabanel Bike Hostel, as well as linen which is epic if you’re bikepacking! And they’ve got free private parking for your bicycle.

Location-wise, it’s about 14kms out of Verona town, which is nothing on a bike… But if you’re limited to public transport, this is something to keep in mind. The pay off is that you’re only a 10-minute drive from Verona but staying in idyllic Italian countryside.

5. Agriturismo Alle Torricelle – Best Hostel for Digital Nomads in Verona

While living on the road as a digital nomad, you will eventually need to find a nice, quiet place to call home for a few days. For just a few more euros than the dorm rooms, you can move into the budget sunny and spacious rooms of Agriturismo Alle Torricelle. With its elegant vintage design and open terraces, this is a hotel you will never want to check out of.

Putting you a bit outside of the city, this guesthouse will have you up close and personal with the breathtaking Italian countryside. And with the sites of the downtown just a few kilometres away, you are truly getting the best of both worlds!

While there isn’t a designated co-working space, there are lovely tables outdoors in the shade of the grape vines on the terrace. There are restaurants and cafes in Verona where you can park up and get work done if you need to. It’s only a 10-minute scooter ride into town.

Posada Verona Hostel

Alright backpackers…Posada Verona Hostel is the perfect hostel for solo travellers to perch up, offering some serious bang for your buck. It’s got a social room with pallet sofas, funky art, and that unmistakable backpacker vibe.

The rooms are simple, comfy and and there’s even a fully equipped kitchen to show off your pot noodle making skills. Location-wise, you’re in a prime spot to tackle the sites of Verona like the Verona Arena, Piazza Bra and Verona’s historic centre on foot or hop on the train at the nearby station and save yourself some steps.

It’s also a women’s shelter you should be aware so if you’re looking to send it and cause a ruckus, maybe move along.

Before you get too excited, let’s talk you down from throwing the party of a lifetime. I gotta let you know that while this budget guesthouse has a bar, you won’t exaaaactly be able to boogie all night long. The price and style are just the tip of the iceberg.
