Ahh yes, Pasay, it’s the crown jewel of Metro Manila, that is, one of the largest and most populous places on earth. Sure, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it for you, Manila isn’t for everyone and it’s got its own, erm, shall I say, vibe!

But plenty of visitors to The Philippines inevitably end up passing through the capital reason and the Airbnb’s in Pasay at least offer some respite from the traffic.

Now here’s a fact that’s going to have you falling off your seat in excitement, Pasay is technically a different city to Manila, I told you, enthraling stuff! Having said that it does mean it is one if the more laidback areas of the metro area being set along the bay.

Most people visiting Manila are going to be business travelers heading to a convention at the nearby center, transiting backpackers jetting off to places like Borocay or digital nomads taking advantage of low costs and reasonable internet speeds… and that is what makes Pasay the perfect destination.

Here you’re close to Manila’s International Airport, the Mall of Asia, several convention centers and a decent number of co-working spaces.

As you might expect, there are many hotels and hostels around. But for something with a little more individuality, I urge you to rent an Airbnb in Pasay.

Not only are Airbnbs a good way to save money, but their self-catering facilities make them feel closer to home than any hotel. Instead of trawling the web to find the best rentals in Pasay, I’ve done the work for you. Here is my pick of the top 15 Airbnbs in this city district.

What to Expect from Airbnbs in Pasay

The city might be small, but it sure is dense. As a result, you’ll find everything from budget-friendly apartments to luxury condos with access to pools and gyms. The skyline is pretty much stacked with Airbnbs to choose from.

Metro Manila is kinda one of those necessary evils when you’re backpacking around The Philippines, somewhere along the line you’re gonna end up here, so why not be comfortable?

If you look at a map, you could consider Pasay a district of Manila. Because of the city’s density, most accommodation is in high-rise apartment blocks and condos. In fact, I couldn’t find a single house or freestanding property worthy of this list. Basically – the variation between Airbnbs here is limited.

Regardless, I’ve managed to get my hands on a few beautiful and unique apartments, studios, and condos that will make you forget about the limited variation between accommodations.

The first thing you can expect is access to shared amenities. Since most Airbnbs are in buildings, you’ll benefit from resort-like perks, including 24-hour reception and security, shared lobby spaces, and elevator access to your floor.

On top of this, most blocks have swimming pools, fitness centres, and even jogging paths or pavilions throughout the property. Just note that some places charge a small fee for pool access.

Since the city is super small, most of the main attractions are within walking distance of one another, so you won’t really need to rent a car. But if you do, underground parking is usually available for each building for an extra fee.

Of course, you will have to take public transport if you want to check out all the great places to visit in Manila, but I think it’s worth it for the better atmosphere here.

Inside your Pasay Airbnb, you can expect a fully functional kitchen with a dishwasher and appliances to prepare your favourite dishes. Bathrooms are typically small and don’t usually have bathtubs. Upon arrival, you might even be presented with a guest kit with toothbrushes, toiletries, slippers, and some complimentary snacks (don’t confuse these with a paid mini-bar. Oops!).

These condos are typically beautifully refurbished with modern fittings, stylish interiors, and high-end appliances. Lastly, you’re in for a real treat when you see these prices. Pasay puts the value into value for money!

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Metro Manila, I’m sure I’ve got the perfect place here.

If you’re looking for a combo between style, location, and good value, you’re in the right place. This two-bedroom unit is much larger than most in the area, and the high ceilings and pale interiors make it seem even bigger. It’s tastefully decorated with minimalist furniture like rattan chairs, crystal chandeliers, and a squiggly mirror that will make all your Instagram selfie dreams come true.

The two bedrooms are small yet sufficient, with comfy bedding, warm lighting, and enough space to store your belongings. The kitchen is fully equipped, with enough crockery and cutlery for six guests.

I stumbled upon this gem while looking for the most affordable Airbnb in Pasay, and I was not disappointed. It’s small in size but perfectly organized for two guests. It has a kitchenette with a two-hob stove, rice cooker, kettle, a microwave, and even a washing machine in the bathroom.

For a small additional fee, guests may swim in the communal swimming pool downstairs. But trust me when I tell you, you’ll want to spend most of your time watching over the city from the little balcony dining table. For the price, this place is incredible and it sure beats even the best hostel in Manila, hands down.

Interior Designer Condo in the Heart of Pasay

Interior Designer Condo in the Heart of Pasay Philippines

I rate this one of the coolest condos on the Pasay block because it has a totally different aesthetic from the rest. An emerald green wall, leather sofa, statement-piece mirror and lighting give it a bold yet original look.

Other than being good-lookin’, this Pasay Airbnb is exceptionally well equipped, with a small kitchenette, a welcome kit with snacks and toiletries, a big TV, and a dining area that can double as a workspace.

When you wake up from a restful night in the comfy double bed, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy it on the balcony overlooking the swimming pool.

If you’re tempted to dive in, you can pay a small daily fee and spend as long as you’d like by the pool. When you return to the apartment at the end of the day, pull down the room’s darkening shades and put your favorite TV show on for a slow evening at home.
