Alykes, Zakynthos
Alykes is the best spot on Zakynthos for the big and the little ones.

Located north of Zakynthos Town, Alykes is a resort town which is particularly popular with families. It boasts a beautiful white sandy beach and pristine waters while providing all the amenities you may need while on holiday.

As turtles do not come to this beach, water sports are very present around here. The kids will love hopping on the back of a jet ski with their parents or, for the older ones, trying their hand at paragliding. This guarantees a thrilling afternoon!

Another popular activity in Alykes is taking a boat trip to Smugglers’ Cove. Aside from being one of, if not THE most beautiful beaches in Zakynthos but also one of the most photographed places in all of Greece for that matter. The cove is only reachable by boat as it is surrounded by high limestone cliffs. On the beach, an old shipwreck lies. The story of how it got there is still surrounded by mystery… Another way to see Smugglers’ Cove is to drive to the top of the cliffs and get a view from above.
