Nestled next to the Smoky Mountains, Sevierville is a popular resort town for those hoping to check out the gorgeous natural beauty of Tennessee. It’s also one of the most affordable towns in the region, making it a popular choice for budget travellers! Nearby Pigeon Forge is home to a wide array of attractions – including the world-renowned Dollywood.

That’s where we come in! We’ve figured out the three best places to stay in Sevierville. We’ve gone above and beyond to bring you our top accommodation and attraction suggestions in each area. Whether you’re ballin’ on a budget or simply looking for a laid-back cabin to get away from city life, we have you covered.

COOLEST thing to do Pigeon Forge: Grab your camera and head deep into the Smoky Mountains with a local photographer.
BEST place to visit Pigeon Forge: The weather can get a little bit erratic near the mountains, but thankfully, WonderWorks is a great rainy day activity!
Pigeon Forge is officially a different town from Sevierville, but the two places are so closely linked that for most visitors, it’s hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. This is where you’ll find some of the biggest attractions – from Dollywood to dinner shows. For this reason, we reckon it’s the best option for families heading to the area. There are also a ton of family-friendly vacation rentals in Pigeon Forge.
Big attractions aside, Pigeon Forge also has some great hiking trails and nature-based activities in the area. Creatives will love the photography and art tours we’ve suggested, but more outdoorsy types are sure to find some great excursions departing from Pigeon Forge Airbnbs, hostels and hotels.
The town is also pretty close to Gatlinburg – so if you plan on visiting both cities, this is a central base. It is a little bit pricier than central Sevierville, but families are sure to find a decent bargain when visiting the town.

Hide Yo’ Money!FAQ about Finding a Place to Stay in Sevierville
Here’s what people usually ask us about the areas of Sevierville and where to stay.
What To Pack For Sevierville
Pants, socks, underwear, soap?! Take it from me, packing for a hostel stay is not always quite as straightforward as it seems. Working out what to bring and what to leave at home is an art I have perfected over many years.
Ear Plugs
Snoring dorm-mates can ruin your nights rest and seriously damage the hostel experience. This is why I always travel with a pack of decent ear plugs.
Hanging Laundry Bag
Trust us, this is an absolute game changer. Super compact, a hanging mesh laundry bag stops your dirty clothes from stinking, you don’t know how much you need one of these… so just get it, thank us later.
Sea To Summit Micro Towel
Hostel towels are scummy and take forever to dry. Microfibre towels dry quickly, are compact, lightweight, and can be used as a blanket or yoga mat if need be.
Monopoly Deal
Forget about Poker! Monopoly Deal is the single best travel card game that we have ever played. Works with 2-5 players and guarantees happy days.
Grayl Geopress Water Bottle
Always travel with a water bottle! They save you money and reduce your plastic footprint on our planet. The Grayl Geopress acts as a purifier AND temperature regulator. Boom!
