Editor Alex has been travelling the world almost full-time since 2019, but it was only in the summer of 2025 that we managed get a hold of him and bring him on board The Broke Backpacker team.
He’s on a mission to visit every country in the world, which he also writes about on his aptly-named site "Adventure to Every Country”. He's been to almost 100 countries, has lived in Italy and South Korea, and his travel highlights include drinking tea with the Taliban in Afghanistan, doing a safari in Venezuela, and biking through Bagan's famous temples in Myanmar.
It’s safe to say he’s got plenty of stories to tell. And we’re happy he’s writing them here.
