Best Hotels with Private Hot Tubs in San Diego

First and foremost, let me set your expectations straight: As one of the most popular tourist destinations on the West Coast, San Diego is a pretty expensive city through and through. Most of the San Diego hotels with private hot tubs are four to five-star luxury properties with great reputations. So if you’re backpacking in San Diego, you might struggle to find something within your budget.

However, what this means is you can expect high-end service and enjoy a range of amenities during your stay. For example, with 24-hour concierge, hotel staff are professionally trained to provide excellent local advice and help you with any logistics during your stay.

With such great year-round weather, most fancy hotels have outdoor swimming pools. Some might even offer access to a private beach onto the best San Diego beaches. Spas and wellness centers are also common, so you won’t have to worry about disrupting your gym routine while on vacation.

These hotels with private hot tubs in San Diego typically have at least one bar and restaurant, where you can enjoy breakfast (usually included in the nightly rate), lunch, and dinner. You can also expect great views from many of these hotels, which are typically located in attractive areas like the beachfront and the Gaslamp Quarter.

No matter how fancy the hotel, it’s not common for standard rooms to have private jacuzzi tubs. Usually, you’ll find this amenity in suites and deluxe rooms. So, you can expect to drop some serious dollars on a room with its own Jacuzzi.

What to Look for in Hotels with Private Hot Tubs in San Diego

Known for its beautiful Pacific coastline, most tourists come to San Diego for the stunning ocean views and beach vacay-vibes. If this is the case, you’ll want to look for a place to stay in San Diego near the coastline.

There are so many beachside hotels to choose from, and you don’t want to have to spend time and money Ubering to and from the beach if it’s not necessary.

If you’re driving to ‘America’s Finest City’ or plan to rent a car for an epic California road trip, make sure you choose a hotel with free or affordable parking. Parking in the city center can be a hack, not to mention hellishly expensive.

There are rooms that come in different shapes and sizes in these hotels with private hot tubs in San Diego. If you’re visiting with a significant other, a suite with an ocean view will do. However, those visiting with families or a group of friends would benefit from a two-bedroom suite or a larger room with a sofa couch.

On that note, if you’re bringing your young family to San Diego, I recommend picking a hotel with child-friendly facilities. For instance, some hotels have children’s centers and babysitting services, offer kiddies menus, and are designed with children’s safety in mind.
