    Mahebourg is one of the best places to stay in Mauritius if you’re on a budget. There are a couple of hostels here, albeit dormless ones.

    Nonetheless, they save you some dollars and you find cheap eats in the town – amazing, considering Mauritius can be quite expensive. Just watch out for the waterfront restaurants where prices spike.

    1. Take a boat tour around Ile Aux Aigrettes Nature Reserve and scout for birds

    Whether it’s the sunrise that made us fall in love with this place to the fact that it’s in an incredible location but still very affordable – we’re not sure. The view is absolutely stunning!
