  3. If you want to get out of the centre of the city then you can head to Red Rock Canyon. It is similar to the Garden of the Gods, which we recommend as one of the coolest places to visit in Colorado Springs, but it’s slightly smaller and less busy.
  4. Find out all there is to know about military aircraft at the National Museum of World War II Aviation. If you’re a bit of a history nerd, this is the best place to visit in Old Colorado City.
  5. For some really personal history, head to the Penrose Heritage Museum. With a load of artefacts documenting the history of this region, you’ll learn all about your surroundings in no time!
