Deep in the Canadian Rockies, outside the iconic Banff National Park, is the charming small-town of Canmore. Undoubtedly, it’s one of the most picturesque vacation towns in Canada and a nature lovers dream.

Visitors can enjoy the world-class ski mountains in the winter months, or some of the best hiking trails in the summer. No matter what time of year you visit, you’ll be greeted by warm locals and a relaxing atmosphere.

So what better way to enjoy this chilled town than by checking into your own hotel with a private hot tub. I mean, your limbs are gonna need a little soothing after all that skiing and hiking, right?

While we can all agree that Canmore hotels with private hot tubs sound like a dream, finding one is not as easy as you might think.

Some hotels advertise hot tubs, only you discover upon arrival it is just a bathtub. To make sure that doesn’t happen to you, I’ve prepared this list of the best hotels with Jacuzzis in Canmore so you can find accommodation that offers what it says it does, so you can have a bubbly slice of luxury.

Best Hotels with Hot Tubs in Canmore

Staying in a Cabin in Canmore

Canmore is one of the biggest towns in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains, known for its world-class hiking and craggy summits, such as the Three Sisters, Ha Ling Peak, and Grassi Lakes Trails. It’s a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and adrenaline lovers.

The town itself is pretty small, with most of the main attractions and trails being outside the town center. And because the attractions are far out, you can expect most of the accommodation options to be outside the town as well.

Most of the hotels in the area are lodges. There aren’t too many luxurious hotel chains in the town, except for a few beautiful hotels that offer self-catering accommodation. Typically, the fancy hotel chains are located in the popular neighboring town of Banff, but there are some hidden gems in Canmore.

A lot of these hotels in Canmore were built in the late 80s for the 1988 Winter Olympics, which were hosted nearby in Calgary. Some of these hotels have since been refurbished, yet many still remain the same as they were when they were first built.

There are a few great Canmore hot tub hotels with private spa tubs in the rooms. In fact, there are even a few with outdoor Jacuzzis on balconies with beautiful views.

Hotels typically have a concierge who will be glad to assist you with bookings for tours or adventures. You can also expect a spa, pool, and shared hot tub at most of these hotels in Canmore with private hot tubs.

When looking for a hotel with a private hot tub in Canmore, you’ll likely have to sift through a lot of average hotels to find some of the hidden gems. Luckily, I’ve done this hard part for you!

What to Look for in Hotels with Private Hot Tubs in Canmore

    Downtown Canmore, Canmore 1

Because the town is so small, it’s pretty hard to find a spot that isn’t within walking distance of the main street, restaurants, and shops.

Of course, there are a few properties outside the town center with a more off-the-beaten-track vibe. Make sure you think carefully about where to stay in Canmore, especially if you’re visiting in the winter when driving isn’t so easy due to snow.

If you do decide to stay off the beaten track, make sure the hotel comes with parking and that the road is accessible with a standard vehicle (we don’t all have 4x4s!). In fact, you’ll probably want to bring a car anyway since most of the attractions require driving too.

If you don’t have a car, don’t worry. Some hotels will offer shuttle and transport services to get you to the main attractions or ski slopes in the winter.

If you are looking to ski, make sure that your hotel comes with ski storage and is close enough to the ski lift so you don’t have to walk for miles carrying your heavy skis.

Depending on the level of luxury you’re after, you might want to look for a hotel with a restaurant in case you’re too tired to go looking for a restaurant after a day of exploring. You might also want to look for one with a pool or spa services, for added luxury.

One of my favorite properties on this list also happens to be the most affordable. A Bear and Bison Country Inn offers comfortable accommodation inspired by a classic alpine cabin in Canmore

With warm wooden interiors, fireplaces, and winter-themed alpine decorations, you’ll get that holiday feeling as soon as you check into your room. Even the breakfast is inspired by Swiss alpine cuisine!

The King Room has its own balcony and private sitting area with a fireplace. The bathroom doesn’t disappoint either, with a luxurious spa bath taking center stage at this Canmore hot tub hotel.
